USCC member Bob Trachimowicz is also updating the Index of the USCC NEWS. An Index for Volumes 1 through 10 was produced a few years ago by Chester M Smith Jr and Joseph D Hahn. Bob is expanding their work to bring it up-to-date.

USCC members and Wendell Triplett recently completed a project involving an update of former USCC Member Kenneth Whitfield's 1992 book Cancellations Found On 19th Century US Stamps. The update provides new information about many of the cancels in the 1992 book. The post offices of origin of a large number of unattributed cancels are now identified. Additional information is presented for many cancels on such matters as ink color, dates of use and stamp issues on which the cancels are found. Also, corrections have been made to the numbering system used for the tracings and to the data accompanying the tracings. Wendell also prepared an updated Post Office Index and a modified Table of Contents. Copies of the 48-page Update, the 21-page Post Office Index and the 4-page Table of Contents are available for $14 postpaid.

Additional copies of the book Cancellations Found On 19th Century US Stamps by Kenneth Whitfield are also again available. This printing incorporates the update noted above. The book contains more than 6,000 tracings and is a valuable supplement to the Skinner-Eno and Cole books. The cost is $52 postpaid.

Orders should be sent to Roger Curran, 20 University Ave, Lewisburg, PA 17837, with checks made payable to "US Cancellation Club."
