My partner, Dave, and I will have been together for 11 years this April. We own a mobile home and hope to get a piece of land and a "real house" we can call our own soon. We don't have children (yet) but we do have cats! And so, even though I am a (semi-)young, Anglo male, being homophilial by nature, I truly do know how it feels to be discriminated against and treated as a minority. [Though REBUILDING SOCIETY is not centered around my community, if you would like to see us (and a few "naughty pictures"...you have been warned... :), Dave has set up a page for you here.]
I am a strange combination of character traits. Some of my views are extremely conservative and traditional, while some of my views are extremely radical and unique. I find that in whatever context I find myself in, I tend to insult or ostracize myself from someone, though I do not do it intentionally. Liberals are insulted that I hold the teachings of Christ as sacred, that I do not approve of free sex, and that I don't believe you can solve social problems by throwing money at them. Conservatives are insulted that I find the rest of the writings we package together and call "Scripture" to be garbage, that something as intimate as sex and the human body has no business being regulated, and that you cannot solve social problems with an iron fist. Now, if I have insulted you, you are not the first person.
I will end this mini-bio with a pseudo-poem I wrote:
