Very Urgent and Important Message

Just a brief note from the Bangalore Walla,

Hi to all my friends and visitors to my Homepages, due to reasons beyond my control, it is unfortunate that I have to ask you all to send only e-mail messages to the following address or until the time I remove this Notice, or I change the date to a deadline . Today's date is 15th April 2007, and in a few months I will be accessable on 'Broadband' courtesy of  the Kindnesstrust , who has sponsored the same, but am stuck with BSNL not delivering immediately.

Hi Everyone and You Visitor to Bangalore Walla,
In a very small way, I had started my own Web Design and Content enterprise, but because of the changes in software and availability to all, it has not been very successful. I had also tried my hand at Multimedia with a few friends using Flash, Director and Maya, but there seems to be a terrible lull in the market, and the focus of companies here is changing from 'business as usual' trade to BPO's and Call Centers, and the changes have really effected all small timers like me. I am still available for a small consultation fee to take up Multimedia Projects. I think you will agree with me that it does need some 'income' to carry on getting new material for this Bangalorewalla page, which I presume you all enjoyed at some time. It has been quite some time since I have received a continuous salary, and I have but to thank the gracious MNC IT companies for that. This is the reason that I have stopped photographing Bangalore, or do so irregularly. You do understand that 'Film and Process' cost a considerable amount of money, also my Telephone and Internet Bills don't come free. Now I am lucky to take 'digital' photographs, but don't seem to find the zeal with which I started teh photo-documentation of 'memories' of Bangalore.

However, I do feel obligated that since I put up this page and get the visitor responses as I do, I have to reply or direct visitors when they send me mails or write to me. You would have to remember that to keep this page in the 'visitor friendly' format that I have tried to do so for over the last 10 years (Yes, time has flown by!), I have kept it 'non-commercial'. Now, I really think I should quit and close the Bangalore page if I don't get any 'generous philanthropist ' to come forward and sponsor this Bangalorewalla page 'as is where is' without demanding any changes that would effect the 'personality' and 'freedom' that the Bangalorewalla enjoys. If there are any of you out there that would like to contribute or feel like being one, so that I can continue as I have been doing, please write to me with your suggestions and how you could help in this situation that I am being challenged with. If you feel that this page has been useful for the 'heritage' and 'memories' of Bangalore, I request you to please take a moment to reflect and consider what you would like to do about it . I have been approached by a few who appreciated what I have done, and have the desire to help out maintain the pages, but what is spoken is still only spoken, and till the reality of the action is seen, I remain in the same boat.

Should you, Dear Visitor, however find that some of the links or there is something 'radically' wrong with the 'contents' of the homepages, please send an e-mail. I will appreciate if you do kindly write to me and keep in touch by surface mail or email at Ronnie Johnson, 5/3 King's Street, Richmond Town, Bangalore 560 025, India. Residence Phone in Bangalore: 091 80 22240145. You may also mention your e-mail address in case you need me to e-mail you an urgent reply, it may take a little time, but you will get a reply. Although my e-mail addresses are active and I have not removed the links, I however, will have limited access to the Internet, and less freely to read them at my convenience unless there is a change in my status.

Thank you again,  Dear Visitor  for visiting my Bangalorewalla page and encouraging me from time to time, and do come again, you may find more that you missed on the first visit. Many of you have sent me mails appreciating the page and how much joy it has brought you in returning you to your past roots. Many have also expressed their appreciation by offering 'to help' with the updating of the pages by data, photos and some even have suggested that they 'contribute' towards costs. So far I haven't taken up anyone's offer, and perhaps have missed out on much, but now I have decided to take up the offer of 'contribution', both in data/photos and also towards costs, but with a difference. Towards costs, I am inviting you to consider being 'Partner' in building up a Library as explained below or to be an 'Education Sponsor'.

Some of you would know that I once enjoyed the employment of an IT Multinational, but that has changed mainly because of the changes in the market demands, and retrenchment fashions, not being a permanent member of the so called elite IT companies, one does not get the benefits of being laid off, and its 'sudden death' as in the extended time of any game like football or hockey goes. Call Centers and BPO's that require a 'younger' generation have added their effort to close the door, don't' worry I have tried my hand at those, but the bottom line is 'age factor'!!.

Earlier I had asked some of you to help with the sponsorship of my daughters 'Fashion' library, and thank those who had responded. Now that Joanne has finished her course with a First Class in her Degree, and is employed with a Fashion Exporter doing Designs, further requests would not be correct.

However, there is an Orphanage that I am associated with, who is run by two lay persons, and takes care of around 55 children, out of which 16 of them are 'challanged'. You may help towards this effort, and visit the orphanage at . The Orphanage is located around 15 KMs outside Bangalore.

I haven't updated the Bangalorewalla page extravagantly since 1999, but have added two sister sites on KGF and McCluskieganj , and one on Bangalore Walla's Tips on Bangalore which I think you will find very interesting.  I do have some material collected during the years after 1999, and will have to scan them from time to time and make up the pages for the Bangalore page, for the 7th Anniversary .

Thanks once again for the wishes, and hope to hear from you all again,

The Bangalorewalla!!
