| Some of the more adventurous students took a hike with the American chaperones to the top of the Söllereck tram station. That meant climbing over 1,200 feet in elevation and hiking 8 kilometers! |

Heather ordered a dish called "Rösti," somewhat like hash browns covered with vegetables and meat. German food never tasted so good! |

| We didn't hike the way down; we took the tramway and enjoyed grandious vistas of the Alps. |
At the bottom we realized how tired we'd become! |
