Tasmania

Ahh, Tasmania, you land of ragged mountains and rolling hills... Ok, thats enough poetry. I came to Tasmania around ten years ago, and since then it has become my home. Tasmania is a little island just to the North of Antarctica (a bit like America really...), it is a part of the nation of Australia, but not the continent of Australia. As such Tasmanians lead a different life to our northern counterparts, some would even say we had two heads (all the better for thinking with my dear...). With a population of around half a million (456,660 in June 1990), we are the least populous state in Australia, but also one of the densest (not thick, just well populated for our size!). This page is my tribute to the best state in the best country in the world (you'll notice that I also live in the best part of the best town...). As the world is constantly improving (supposedly), so is this site, therefore feel free to email me with any suggestions here.

The sights of Tasmania

Wineglass Bay, Freycinet PeninsulaWineglass bay at Freycinet Peninsula National Park. One of the best places in Tasmanaia to bushwalk, swim/dive etc. Close to the township of Coles Bay. I've been there, and I like it very much.
Salamanca market. Open every Staurday. One of Tasmanias premier tourist spots (game to play: spot the tourist!). Its normally got heaps of good stuff for people who like this sort of thing, but once a year will do me...Salamanca
Richmond BridgeRichmond Bridge (in (you guessed it!) Richmond).

The Casino in Sandy Bay. This is where 'Hobart happens'. Notice that my Uni is just behind it?
