Taurus: Feminine Earth Fixed

Character:

Just as an oak tree becomes a permanent part of the landscape it is set in, so a Taurean will want to ‘belong’ to a permanent scene. To this end, she will present a solid, steady, reliable front to the world. As the oak tree is rooted in the soil, so also the Taurean is rooted to her opinians, extremely stubborn and hating to be contradicting or crossed.

A feeling of security is important to her: she will demand it in her carrer, at home, and in her marriage - although she might herself undermine it by a sudden display of a furious temper. She is slowly aroused but then ferocius and difficult to cope with. Especially in marriage, her temper is more likely to sparked off by jealousy; this in turn stems from what is probably the worst fault - possesiveness.

She can, however, be very patient, and will probably have plenty of charm, warmth and affection, even though she may tend to be a bit of a bore. She is not to be rushed - and will take no risks: her sense of preservation is far to well developed. Those around her may sometimes have to brave her dormant temper and shake her up a little, otherwise her plodding conservatism could drive them to distraction.

Taureans have and excellent business sense - the ability to make money, and to hang on it. If they are generous in entertaining their friends, it is generally because they enjoy an excuse for a good blow-out for themselves.

The Taurean will probably be hapier living in the country than in town; she usually has the flair and finds phsychological contentment in tending her garden.
