The Next Lance Armstrong?

This December, "Santa" gave our son a Smart Cycle -- a video system that is controlled by what looks like an exercise bike. In order to play two of the games, the player has to pedal on the bike rather than use a joystick or other hand-held controller. This system so far appears to be the best of both worlds because it engages our son's attention while enabling him to get exercise and burn all the excess energy he seems to have. Our son has been so interested in the video system that he has been reluctant to take breaks to eat! The only major disadvantage we have seen so far is that my husband and I can't use the TV while our son is playing his games, so we have to find other ways to relax.

It's too bad that the Smart Cycle can only accommodate children up to the age of 6. What will happen when our son outgrows it, I wonder? Is there a similar video system for larger children? For that matter, is there one for adults? Our son seems to be having so much fun with his new video system that I wish I could fit on the little bike and play as well. My husband and I also have been trying to get more exercise, and this looks like a very fun way to do so.
