Logan's Run

Hmm, what could be better then a bunch of young guys taking over the world for some reason and deciding to rid it of old people? Well, if you thinks this is nifty then go see this movie. Taking place in the future, it is a so called perfect society. The Sandmen are in charge of seeking out, and if needs be, killing the old people (old as in something like 25+). In this movie our hero, Logan 5, is a Sandman who dislikes the "runners" (old people) and likes the chase they give when they try to escape the law, and their deaths. There is a thing call carousel where you are supposed to be able to renew your life but for some reason it doesn't work... Logan is given an assignment to seek out and destroy the runners sanctuary by this massive super computer and he himself becomes a runner, and with the help of a young woman attempts to find this sanctuary.

But don't blame me if a few things seem to be missing, like background info. As in where did all the old people go, why is almost everyone white, and how come they have those damn crystals on their hands? AND WHERE THE HELL DID BOX COME FROM? Oh well, I guess this is price you have to pay if cheesy SCI-fi movies are your thing.

All in all this movie was not one of the worst I have seen, but it did take me three sittings to watch the whole thing. Rent this one if you like the idea of a white young government in the future, and don't give a damn why it is like it.
