I was introduced to the Stick through the incredible musicianship of Tony Levin, the bassist for Peter Gabriel for over 20 years and King Crimson for over a decade. He single-handedly brought this instrument to the public with jaw-dropping authority, instantly legitimizing the Stick. I have personally seen him play the Stick with complete mastery nime times and the sound of this instrument is an awesome thing to witness. As the popularity of the Stick has increased, a number of incredibly talented players have emerged. Every year at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, a gathering of the worlds leading Stick players amass and commence to blow the roof off the joint.

This is a 10 string Teak Chapman Stick serial #1296. The instrument is based off the two-handed tapping method of parallel hands that was designed by Emmett Chapman in 1969.
