More poems about Talents

         WHILE WAITING
When at certain places you have to sit and wait
It’s good to have things to do and not just vegetate,
Read a book or magazine , knit or crochet if you can,
To write a couple of poems would be quite a good plan.

If you just do nothing you seem to wait for evermore,
Yet if you have a plan they soon open that waiting door,
Or it seems that way to me I have moved up once already,
I’m only part way through the second poem going steady.

I wonder what people think about if they just sit around,
Not read or write, not watch the TVs that are always found,
My mind would be full and I think I might go quite mad
And I feel that to sit and waste time it is truly quite sad.

There is a sense of purpose if you can find things to do,
And you don’t really mind waiting when ideas come through,
In less than five minuets my appointment time will come
And look, I already have another poem all finished and done.
