BURDENS
Sometimes when it seems that burdens pile up high
And they block out the sunshine and the bright blue sky,
The load is kind of heavy and the road appears too steep
And some anguish into your saddened heart does creep,
Start counting your many blessing before you go to sleep.

Start counting and when you run out of fingers use your toes,
Then start once more all over again and then God’s love shows
Through the clouds of darkness as stronger you will grow,
For if life was too easy very little progress would seem to show.
So let us stop and realize the love of God everywhere we go

Life cannot always be a garden of roses blooming sweet and fair
If have to work at pulling weeds and our strength always share,
Those trials and heavy burdens will help us grow spiritually strong,
So let us count our blessings and smile when all things go wrong
Remembering the Master His great suffering so sing a song.

No burden will be too heavy for our shoulders to carry or bear,
For Father above will lighten the load if we ask in sweet prayer,
Or He may tell us this is the path you needed to help you grow,
So count your blessing including burdens everywhere you go.
So that you will be a ray of bright sunshine as through life you go.
