Why do you force
us from our land?
We do nothing to you,
and you destroy us.

Once we were many,
strong and free.
But now there are few
because of you.

My children deserve
the chance to grow.
To find mates and have
pups of their own.

We're not as different
as you'd like to believe.
We love, we laugh,
and mourn at death.

If you took the time,
you could learn from us.
We don't kill each other,
we protect our young.
