The bayonnette charge

Here are several pictures representing this form of combat commonly used by the soldiers of la Compagnie franche de la Marine in the XVIIIth century. This manouvers consisted in firing in section and charging the ennemy with bayonnettes. Meanwhile, the artillery supported the infantry with its canons.
