I call upon the powers of the East, of Water:
fall gently on my home
spare us your contempt for spoiling you
great dakini spirit
regurgitating up the debris of plastic, oils, styrofoam,
great dakini spirit
depositing tyres, syringes, car bodies at our door

great dakini spirit
take our carpets our couches our consumer white goods
and leave us our dignity
that we might learn better to respect you
and value the life of the great water cycle

and most of all take our tears
pure and salty
that in your shedding
and our shedding
we might find reverence for the common ground of all being
our Holy Mother Earth.

So Mote it Be.
