Meditation

PAN Home

As winter is an inwards looking time, a time to think and prepare, it seems timely that we should feature meditation in this newsletter. Meditation is something that comes naturally to some, and for others they must work hard for even the smallest space in their minds in which to rest. It is hard in this day and age, to make the time necessary to practice this valuable tool. If you are new to meditation, you may need to actually plan to meditate. You will need to find some quiet time that can be your own. Some find early morning, sunrise, lunchtime, after work, after dinner, or before bed a good time to meditate. Others can meditate anywhere anytime. It depends on your routine and the amount of time you are prepared to practice and then give to meditation. For me, I started practicing meditation after work, until I had developed the skill enough to take with me wherever I go. Now I find time to meditate on the bus to and from work, at lunchtime when I'm sitting in the park listening and watching the birds at play. I also find meditating in the early morning in the backyard, with the sun just beginning to touch me, a special time of day. And of course, I meditate to the moon. However you choose, if in fact you do choose to meditate, I hope that you will enjoy some of the articles and experiences this feature has to share with you.
