Natural Egg Dyes For Equinox Eggs

Blueberries: dunk eggs in a
strong tea (simmer for 15 minutes) of crushed blueberries and juice.
You should get a powdery purple colour from this.
Onion Skins: wrap eggs in
skins and steep in hot water (in which more skins have been simmering
for 15 minutes) for 3 to 20 minutes. You should get a mottled effect of
pale yellow to gold.
Beetroot: dunk eggs in 2
cups of a strong beetroot tea (simmering in water for 15 minutes) mixed
with 1 tablespoon of vinegar for a few seconds to a few minutes. You
should get a pale pink to a deep red depending on how long you leave
the eggs in the tea for.
Red Cabbage: shred cabbage
and cook eggs covered and nestled inside. Cook for the usual time it
takes to boil an egg (say 10 minutes) and allow eggs to cool and remain
covered overnight. This should create a lilac/pinky colour for your eggs.
