Welcome to the home page for Caldwell First Nation.

We are working in cooperation with the Caldwell First Nation Office to ensure that the supporters of the Caldwell tribe have a voice on their behalf, a forum for their concerns, and an organized presence on the Internet.

Shots have been fired at Caldwell members' homes recently.  On October 15, 2000 the shots came from a paint ball gun.  On October 17, 2000, shots were heard but it has not been confirmed what was being shot this time.  We encourage you to write to Bill Erickson and demand assistance for the Caldwells.

Click on Word to view a letter from Theresa Johnson to the CKCN written after a vandalism attack on their home on October 14, 2000.

Congratulations to 8 year old Kayla Jacobs, grand-daughter of Theresa and Chief Larry Johnson who has been chosen as the recipient of the Rosenberg Fund for Children.  This award is for children of politically harrassed families.  For more details see What's new

We have had inquiries regarding the private sale of land to the Caldwells.   The Caldwells are amenable to agreements of this nature and encourage you to contact their office directly at 519-676-5499.

We encourage you to click on Letter to PM and print off the letter to Prime Minister Jean Chretien.  Sign it and send it in to show your support for the Caldwells.  If possible, please fax a copy to the Caldwell Head Office as well at (519) 676-5899.

If you have any questions regarding the Caldwell land dispute, please call the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs' toll free hotline at 1-888-590-2155.
