FOOT- NOTES

1. If the Israelites had kept their word (notice that they gave their word voluntarily in Joshua 1:18) and executed all those who rebelled against God's Word, there would probably be not many of them left after a couple of generations!

2. Bringing an accursed thing into one's home makes one liable for destruction according to Deuteronomy Chapter 7 verse 26 (NIV). The Bible does not say whether this 'destruction' will come directly from God or will be mediated by man.
