Teknologi Daur Kombinasi Gasifikasi Batubara Terpadu
(Integrated Coal Gasification Combined Cycle Technology)

Abstract

Electricity use for the last 20 years in Indonesia has been growing very fast (14.5 %/year) and will be expected continue to grow. Coal is one of the main fuel for electricity generation and the share will be projected to grow from 21 % in 1996 to 78 % in 2021. In order to minimized environmental impact, utilization of Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) should be propose soon. IGCC has advantage than conventional power plant with de-SOx dan de-NOx and should be consider as alternative technology for coal power plant to replace retired of conventional coal power plant.
