Electricity Planning in Indonesia using DECADES Tools 

Abstract

BPPT, Indonesia and IAEA, Austria have been conducting a cooperation study on electricity optimization planning for Indonesia. DECADES software is one of the tools that can be used for electricity generation planning in Indonesia. This tool can estimate an environmental impact from the electricity generation technology. One of the main input data is electricity demand projection. The paper discuss some background on geographical, social and economic condition in Indonesia an also energy resources that need to consider before make a projection.
