        WHERE ARE THEY GOING?
When traveling along a busy road and so many cars you see,
Does anyone else wonder where they’re going or is it just me?
Going to work? What do they do for their job everyday?
Do they like it or work hard so money comes that way?

Are they going on holiday to some exciting new place?
Or off to visit friends and family with a smile on their face?
Where is everyone going or coming ? I’d really like to know,
Maybe in a window or on a bumper it should always show.

Even the big transport trucks with their big, heavy load,
Have they just started? Or been too long on the long road?
Did they well travel loaded both going and coming back?
Are the drivers lonely, true companionship sometime lack?

In winter, it could be Christmas shopping, gifts to be found?
Or off to the busy airport to be happily homeward bound?
But maybe in the summer it’s to the cottage they wish to go,
Impatient with the traffic as it crawls along far too slow.

When in rush hour and the traffic hardly seems to move,
I want to ask where they’re going but I don’t think they’d approve,
So I’ll spend my time while driving thinking where they’re going to
And it maybe a lot more interesting than the things they really do.
