More poems about Life

MY IDEAL DAY DOING NOTHING
Not one cloud hindered the bright sun
As another new day in beauty begun.
A vivid blue sky seemed perfect, almost unreal,
The kind of day to relax and a part of nature feel.

The lake was a much deeper blue than the sky,
Even early, yachts and boats were sailing by
Lazily, enjoy the gentle blowing land breeze,
Enough to fill the sails and rustle the many trees.

Oh, just to relax awhile, enjoy life to the full
Watching the world go by would not be dull,
But exciting, watching, and this through busy day,
Just sitting outside, watching the boats in the bay.

Not too humid, mid seventies, so not too hot,
Here under a tree I’ve found my own spot.
Sun block, food and drink, a good book to read,
A note book to write poems, what more do I need?

Family and friends here would be very nice,
Maybe a ‘Dicky Dee’ boy selling drinks with ice.
Classical music softly wafting through the air,
That would be a good day beyond compare.
