More poems about the Holy Ghost

HIDDEN FRIEND
You hear a voice whisper, go home another way,
And without thinking you naturally listen and obey,
It is a voice of warning from a loving hidden friend,
And if we keep the faith He be with us to the end.
Who is the voice of warning?
        It is the Holy Ghost.

Go to the phone and call, this person needs a friend,
Write someone else a letter or a funny little card send,
Compose a poem of comfort and put in on the net,
And you’ll be surprised how many needs you have met.
        Who is the prompting voice?
        It is the Holy Ghost.

Stay on the straight and narrow, from sin stay free,
Every morning this voice whispers these words to me,
Do not get angry, but find words, both kind and sweet,
Then when Satan comes with truth and goodness greet.
        Who is this guiding voice?
        It is the Holy Ghost.

You have to teach a lesson, give a talk or say a prayer,
Ideas and scriptures flow to your mind from everywhere,
It is not you that teaches but it’s a message from above,
The instrument you can be of God’s everlasting love.
        Who’s is this teaching voice?
        It is the Holy Ghost.
