FAREWELL NOT GOODBYE
Farewell dearest friend
until we meet again,
There are no sad goodbyes
when heaven we gain,
You have fought the great fight,
won the victors crown,
One day well be together,
gathered around His throne.
Death is just a gateway, after
which all pain does cease,
No more heartache or sorrow,
just eternal peace,
Rest in His loving arms friend,
until we meet again,
Soon well come rejoicing
glorifying His name.
We should not weep nor mourn,
for you are at rest,
But our hearts are sad for we miss you,
for you are one of the best,
We should count it as a blessing
having had you to love,
So farewell, not goodbye,
until we meet above.
