THE WEATHER ON SUNDAY
I always feel that Sundays should be bright and sunny,
Not pouring with rain and water running down the gully,
Not all wet and blustery, weather not fit to venture outside,
Nor hearing thunder roll, for those who are afraid will hide.
Sunday is a sunshine day, pleasant and bright as it can be,
Ready to go off to church for awhile and worship reverently.
I love to see the men in suits and women in dresses to pretty
In honour of what the day represents, lots miss out mores the pity.
We should look forward to the Sabbath this special holy day,
When for a brief time thoughts of Jesus sacrifice come our way,
Go and sing hymns of gratitude, offer prayers of eternal love.
At least for a few hours dwell on the goal of heaven above.
That will set the mind to be a better person for the rest of the week,
For we have found time to worship and His true guidance seek,
That is if we go there to partake of his love with humble thanks,
Not showing off, saying look at me, then youre in Satans ranks.
Come and worship on the Sabbath in snow, rain or sunshine,
Partake of the sacrament and share of His great love divine,
Try and keep the day holy, do not waste this special day
By doing things not acceptable as you go along lifes way.
Six days we can work and play, the seventh is for sweet rest,
To remember our Father in heaven, and Jesus, the very best,
So although the weather is wet and windy and a little cold,
Go to church, sing, pray and listen and of His peace take hold.
