MEMORY CLOUDS
The other day I watched the clouds roll across a sunny sky,
Some were white and fluffy others grey as they went by,
It reminded me of memories those mixed clouds overhead,
Happy memories of laughter, sad ones when tears are shed.
Do not let the clouds affect the actions of the new day,
But learn from the memories lessons that come your way,
The white happy memory clouds are there joy to give,
Grey painful cloud memories show you how to live.
Some memories come uninvited to spoil a special time,
Shun them away and things will work out quite fine,
But sometimes they come as a warning from God above,
Try and distinguish the difference and trust in His love.
As I watched those clouds mostly grey the other day,
It helped me understand that when sorrow came my way,
That was when I grew strong, trusted more in the Lord,
Those were the times when His kind voice I often heard.
We need to keep our memories to help us strong to grow,
Yet we cannot wander, heads in memory clouds and so
Not see the things around us, more memories to gain,
So keep the memory clouds high and heal from all pain.
