More poems about Death

        DO NOT LET ME DIE
Do not let me die in some sad, lonely hospital bed
Or homeless on a street, a rock as a pillar for my head,
I do not mind dying if a loved one holds my hand
As I depart this life and go on to God’s holy land.

Do not forget me when I’m old and no longer spry
A visit, a letter or a phone call will be fine as I lie
And wait for death, yet I pray that this will not be,
I pray that Father will have a much better end for me.

But when my time comes and we all know it will come,
I hope I’ve completed all that was needed to be done
To allow me to enter and rest in God’s eternal domain,
If not, until all is accomplished, please let me remain.
