I AM GLAD
I am glad the Lord gave me an active
and seeking mind,
One that is thrilled when something new
I am able to find,
A new glimmer of truth found, a great
blessing on that day,
Someone who always wants to know why
things work that way.
I am glad that I love nature and seem to want
to know the name
Of bird and tree and flower, indigenous or
from where they came.
Glad I see Gods handiwork in all the beauty
that does abound,
Want to know more and more about what I
see, learn every sound.
I am glad the Lord gave me an ear for His
music so sweet,
Love to hear and sing the hymns, and if
a new song I meet
Want to sing it loud and long until it becomes
a part of me.
I am glad the Lord gave me a hope of seeing
Him for all eternity.
