WHAT IS GOOD ABOUT
GOODBYE
It seems a funny expression to me when
we say goodbye,
It is often said with a sad hug and a tender
tear in the eye,
When they leave, you stand and wave until
out of sight.
There is nothing good in goodbye you think
with all your might.
For there comes a lonely feeling that wells
in the heart
An emptiness that engulfs when loved ones
have to part,
Even farewell seems an incongruence for
when to stop and think
For life is not fair you feel and from being
well you shrink.
But then look on the bright side for you
may all meet again,
Then the good in goodbye will wipe away
hurt and pain,
Tears of sadness change to those of joy
and happiness
Sweet love increases and that goodbye you
now want to bless.
