A GIFT BOX
If I had a priceless gift box covered in gold and jewels
And it would be mine if I followed certain rules,
A gift box that was given to all from God above,
Ours if we obeyed and were filled with His love.
That precious gift box is the gift of the Holy Ghost,
One to be treasured and the gift I love the most,
For that box is never empty filled with gifts galore,
Gifts that will help us reach safely heavens door.
Inside the box is the true light to show us the way,
A sweet touch of comfort on a sad or lonely day,
A teacher that will help us understand and know
How to avoid evil as through this life we go.
Also inside there is a voice to guide to those in need,
To help others, how some souls to spiritually feed,
This gift will testify of Christ and of all things true,
I pray that Ill be able to use my gift box my life through.
For without it Id be like a ship on a storm tossed sea,
With no compass or sails to guide, destined there to be
Left to the wiles of the devil, not knowing where to go,
So I pray that I will be ever worthy, so the right to know.
