        SEND A CARD TODAY
When a card or a little note comes your way,
It can cheer you when you’ve had a bad day,
A cute card that can make you stop and smile,
Help you along that extra difficult long mile.

A few kind words just to say a cheerful hello,
Let a little ray of warm sunshine brightly show.
Not just a birthday card or an happy anniversary,
But a card just saying I care and love flows free.

A pretty card, a funny card, one with a prayer,
Think what the person needs, then with a flair
Make up a card and a verse or two to share,
You’ll never know the good that is there.

Be an angel with a card, verse and kind thought,
It is one way of doing what the saviour taught,
If you are not a poet, a few lines of love is good,
And a light will shine bright just as it should.

I wrote a poem the other day, for a girl at the store,
You should have seen her face, lit with joy galore,
A radiant smile and eyes dancing, shining bright,
Just a little effort to fill someone with sweet delight.

A thank you card came my way for doing a kind deed
I did not really expect it, but my morale it did feed,
Go on, make an effort and choose a friend today,
Just to send a caring card or a little note their way.
