REPENTANCE
The gift of repentance comes to wipe sin away,
Something we need to use at least every day,
Know we have done wrong things, say sorry,
Don’t let sin fester, but be free of pain and worry.

Repentance, if from the heart and truly meant,
Can fill your whole being with a sweet content ,
A warm fuzzy feeling that fills you with love,
Like a comfort blanket sent from heaven above.

At the end of the day, then just before you pray,
Consider your actions and thoughts of the day,
Then if something is amiss, before you sleep,
Beg for forgiveness then restful sleep keep.

Do not let anger stay cooped up in your heart,
Let all feeling of vengeance quickly depart,
Always say sorry to those you offended that day,
Then the gift of pure forgiveness may come your way.
