THE ROAD OF LIFE
The road of life winds ever onward through rain and shine,
Through heartache and sorrow, and moments of joy sublime,
When young the road is shared by parents a loving hands to hold
Showing you which way to go, guiding safely along to heavens fold.
Then come the time in life when adults we all one day become,
The choice is ours on which road we will then wish to walk or run.
We have sigh posts to show us the right way so we shouldn’t loose,
But between the right or wrong way we have the freedom to choose,
When we know that the road we are on is where we ought to be,
The road of truth and light leads onto heavens glorious eternity.
Be ever strong enough to stand firm and then fight for the right.
Be a shining beacon so all will know your road is of true light,
Hold another’s hand until their own strength is enough,
Even willing to carry some when the going gets too rough,.
The right road is the hard road but will make you strong,
Building blocks of salvation to help support a mighty throng,
No one can mistake the road that leads to all truth and light,
For those who tread that way are filled with a beacon bright,
Do not detour however rough that road you tread may be,
For it will lead you on one day to God’s eternal majesty.
