IF THERE IS A LIGHT WITHIN
However dark the path we tread, if there is a light within
We cannot be lead astray, wander off in paths of sin,
In the blackest darkness if our light shines ever bright
We will glow in that darkness keep our goal in sight.

As darkness tries to encompasses us, it will just flee away
For light always overcomes darkness, the two can’t stay
Togther, for light spills out, fills everywhere all around,
And soon if we shine no darkness can ever be found.

Just as we light a lamp to cheer a darkened room,
So letting our light shine will scare away the gloom,
And when we shine together there comes a glorious ray,
A light much brighter than any warm sunny summer day.

Never let that inner light fade away or grow too dim,
Always be able to let your light shine His, joy to win,
Let the gospel light be a beacon to those who go astray,
In doing so give praise to God and in thanks always pray.
