TRUE WORSHIP
When we submit our will to God, true joy we will know,
Give all we have of time and talents as through life we go,
Never hold back a treasured thing when He asks a boon,
For this is true worship, and you will ever be in tune.
Let us serve because we love the Lord and mankind,
Not for heavenly glory in our service should we find,
Yet in an act of gratitude for the blessings ever given,
But serving for gain, we will not enter into heaven.
To serve for self is the lowly Telestial law we live,
Even in our service we then selfishly do give,
The motive is all wrong as we put ourselves first
And for the love of God we will constantly thirst.
To serve for duty is a higher law, Terrestial life own,
Duty to our fellow men will brings us a higher throne
Than doing it for self, but duty is not really sufficient
However much time and energy is willingly spent.
To serve for gratitude to God and His only begotten Son
Will bring eternal blessings when our serving time is done.
Serve for the great love of God to all so freely given,
Then pray that through His mercy you may enter heaven.
