        EXPENSIVE BAUBLES
There I saw the baubles about ten dollars each,
They were so pretty yet far out of my reach,
Large and all glittering in silver and gold,
A tree full of them would be lovely to behold.

Our poor old tree looked quite shabby as I thought
Of what it would be like if those baubles I bought,
But we all had lots of fun decorating it, all the family,
One thing decorating, it always brought great glee.

I went to visit a friend and there in the window bold
Stood a perfect tree expensive baubles to behold,
Her grandchild went to touch it! leave it alone
She cried, I was then very glad of my tree back home.
