CHANGE THE WORLD
I cannot change the world I said one day,
Im only one, so what could come my way
To help me change anything for the good,
If it were possible to change it I would.
I helped a blind lady with change at the store,
A man carrying a child so I opened the door,
Gave a homeless person the change I had,
At the end of the day I really felt quite glad.
As I knelt by my bed that night to pray,
A voice said, you changed the world today,
No one else may have bothered to do each deed
You rendered service to those who were in need.
My mind cleared, yes, I can change things around
By doing kindly needs, let my smile ever abound,
For little acts of kindness spread as it is seen,
So let us make the world better than it has ever been.
