ILL AT CHRISTMAS
Christmas has always been a special time of year,
With a deep warm feeling and all the songs we hear,
The hustle and the bustle with many a wave and smile
As people get the feeling that should last a long while.
Christmas has always brought a smile to my face
Filled our home with it’s extra warmth and grace,
A feeling of gratitude for the blessing from above,
Yes, Christmas brings an abundance of His Love.
Yet this year we are far from well and spirits are low
The feeling of Christmas not so swiftly does yet flow,
Although the music plays and light sparkle everywhere,
At the moment in my heart Christmas is not quite there.
It will come and the joy of Christmas will fill my heart,
Although I cannot do too much I will do by small part
To bring to those I love the message still loud and clear,
Happy Christmas let my heart sing so that the angels hear.
