More poems about Christmas Thoughts

MORE COMPASSION
There seems to be at Christmas more compassion for
the common man,
More greater understanding of God’s wisdom,
love and eternal plan,
More consideration, more tolerance seems
to want to flow
To all folks that dwell on this wonderful earth,
kindness try and show.
The spirit of the season can put a smile on
someone’s sad face,
Fill the air with blessings that seem to come
through heaven’s grace.
When the hope of hungry children burns
brighter than before
Eager sunken faces with thoughts of food
and maybe a little more.
A handful of candies caught and saved from
some Christmas float,
The thought of that’s the only gift brings a
lump to my throat.
I will feel the spirit of Christmas burn deep
within my heart,
And will strive through life’s trials this year to
do my small part.
