More poems about Writing

        THOUGHTS
Meandering through the paths of my mind,
Are verses, ideas and couplets to try and find
Partners for, a ditty to make you smile
Or encouragement to go that extra mile.

Fountains spring up from the depth of my heart
And dwell all restless until I can somehow impart
A sweet poem or story to bring a tear to the eye,
Or a smile to the face of some lonely passerby.

Maybe give inspiration to a saddened heart
Awaken love or in a way done my small part
To lighten a load, or help someone feel good,
Or tell of the tale when I was lost in the wood.

Tis like gathering wild flowers on the brow of the hill
Each tender flower a gentle fragrant thought that will
Blossom and grow until many thoughts I display
On a blank screen or paper that comes my way.
