RETIRED
As one gets older times flies more swiftly by,
One day started then the whole week does fly,
Hardly time to fit in everything you need to do
Into a day before it is all over and through.
Theres no time for leisurely things you dream about
When you retire, too many things to do as time runs out,
At least we will not rust away, but work all life through,
I am sure that is what the Lord would have us all do.
Look forward to retirement, buy a pair of old skates
So that many times you manage to miss the pearly gates,
Until your time is appointed work hard with a great will,
And I am sure that with joy your mansion He will fill,
