TWO WHITE ROSES
Two lovely white roses plucked at the right time
To show perfection and beauty pure and divine,
Brought to a meeting an important point to show
How our youth with chastity should constantly glow.
One white rose was placed in water pure and clear,
The other passed around to feel the petals so dear,
To smell the fragrance and look closely to know
What makes it so beautiful and how it does grow.
Some hands were soft, others rough, some held gently,
Others a little tough, some rubbed a petal a vein to see,
Another took a leave and petal off to press for memory,
The poor rose was quite a mess yet not done deliberately.
But placing the two together the teacher asked which one
Would be worthy of the temple when that time did come.
Try not to let our youth be spoilt by being cast all around
Stress the value of purity in each heart, virtue forever abound.
