More poems about Christmas.

        SNOW FOR CHRISTMAS
Up north all know Christmas will be white,
Nothing else is accepted no other pretty sight,
But snow draped on trees, a covering everywhere,
That is a big part of Christmas all northerners share.

This one year at Christmas would no snow be seen
Everyone was saying before, this has never ever been,
But grey drabness and dead grass was lying all around,
Nor one single snow flake anywhere could be found.

Sad folks sat by fires and in homes cozy and warm,
Yet there was no sign showing of a big snow storm,
Some went out to look up to the bright star studded sky,
And many of the children, prayed and then began to cry.

Just a little while later to all came great joy and great surprise,
For there came with the fluffiest, biggest grandest, before all eyes,
Snow flakes at their very best, folks just stood and watched awhile,
Even woke the children so they could see each joyful smile.

Packing snow, sticking snow, snow that clings to bush and tree,
One of the prettiest Christmas’s that anyone could ever see,
A perfect winter wonderland, a Christmas gift given to all,
And that’s the one remembered by grown-ups and the small.
