CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS
They are starting to appear, pretty lights everywhere,
Christmas decorations shine on the snow with care,
Decorated trees sparkle through many a window pane,
With many a nativity and Santa scene on show again.
They cheer you as you drive by bring the spirit bright
To lighten a heart and fill us with Christmas delight,
Yet if a modern Mary and Joseph would wander today
Would they need a stable because we turned them away?
Is there someone you know all alone this time of year,
Maybe very lonely, needing some comfort good cheer,
Can you not invite them to share some time with you
On one day over Christmas, let His light shine through.
He came to earth to light the way, an example to be,
At this time of year can we not show some hospitality,
As the nativity scenes glow let them come to life in you,
Share the love of the Christ Child in all that you do.
