More poems about Feelings.

        PAIN AND GRIEF
In times of hardship, in pain and in grief,
Self pity can I know come like a sneak thief,
Perched to punch and take pleasantness away,
You’ll surly feel worse by the end of the day.

Shun away self pity, it is selfish, others need a smile,
Keep one on your face even just for a little while,
Then things won’t seem too bad, the sun comes through,
The attitude you take is really always up to you.

If we wallow in self pity healing will be oh, so slow,
But put on an air of gratitude and soon it will show,
We all have tribulations, hard knocks along the way,
But don’t let self pity sneak in, let hope ever stay.

With self pity comes worry and you lose trust in the Lord,
Shake it off and pray, you know the prayer will be heard,
If it’s your time appointed do you want self pity within,
Or a heart full of gladness and worthy to be with Him.
