I WANT TO BE
I want to be a ray of sunshine to send clouds away,
Be a small candle to lighten dark night into day,
Be an inspiration, or be able to lighten a load,
Be a good example along a troublesome road.
I want to be a friend to all, be strong and true,
I want to live the gospel well my life through,
Hold someone’s hand and lead them to the light,
I want to, every day, try always do what’s right.
I need help to make my want to be’s come true
Help keep my worthy goals I set, my whole life though,
Prayer and study long and hard and striving every day
Is not enough, I need my friends to help along the way
