IT’S GOOD TO BE ALIVE
If we can always think that it is good to be alive,
Through good and bad, we do more than thrive
If we live life to the full, make the most of it,
Even in pain and sorrow love it every whit.
Gaze at beauty with wondering wide open eyes,
And if something appears ugly do not criticize,
But see the good in all things, in sunshine and rain
And then, one day, true happiness you may obtain.
Then it will be good to be alive through every day
For nothing can mar the joy that comes your way,
Cheerfulness will bless you as you journey on
And every day be worth living well, one by one.
