WAITING AT THE MOVIES
Waiting at the movie theatre for it to begin,
The Lord Of The Rings, glad we got in,
I wonder if they will be rightly portrayed,
The ones I know and love so well, what shade
Of hair, what coloured eyes and shape of face?
Will the elves all be slender and full of grace.
Waiting in anticipation. Will they spoil the plot?
The first book in three hours, thats quite a lot,
Will Gandalf have fierce and yet tender eyes?
Will Strider be tall and dark and be very wise?
I hope Im not disappointed when the movie begins,
To spoil my most favourite book would be a sin.
Now Im home, the movie ended, my accolades it won,
To everyone who was responsible I say Well done.
Performers, producers, editors and the great effects men
They must have been inside my head, I dont know when,
For it was just as I imagined, down to the smallest thing,
All the characters are just right, and great joy to me did bring.
