WORTH WAITING FOR
Sydney Anne
For many years we waited for our little treasure,
Waiting for our grandchild, a gift in full measure,
It seemed we would have to wait a long time, too long,
Then our prayers were answered, hearts rejoiced in song.
Sydney Anne arrived, a priceless gift from heaven above,
Our sweet treasure that renewed our energy and love,
Such a pretty baby, soft skin and eyes so big and bright,
Full of sweet purity still glowing with heavens light.
A happy, healthy, energetic child is our little Sydney,
A rambunctious always on the go child and so friendly,
Full of love and happiness, full of the joy of living,
Always so sweet and kind, forever full of giving.
We waited, and now we know she was worth waiting for,
May she stay good, fun-loving, kind and sweet for evermore,
We know she will grow more precious to us as days go by,
We’ll never stop rejoicing for a jewel that came from on high.
