BABYS FAVOURITE TOY
He loves his rattle and cute duck this precious boy,
Yet when his arms are raised you are his favourite toy,
He needs your love and caring, those comforting arms
To sooth away his fears, hear the voice that calms.
He loves his baby bouncer that goes up and down,
But when hes tired his sweet face wears a frown,
You are his favourite toy for you sing a lullaby,
A toy with a heart that can stop each little cry.
Each child has a toy that is special in some way
But nothing like the love of parents every day,
A voice that soothes and hands that seem to heal,
For parents are big toys that know how to feel.
Thinking back when my children were all small
It was fun being a favourite toy, when theyd call,
Arms outstretched, eyes begging for a big hug,
Or maybe a fun game being a big toy on the rug.
